Golders Green Synagogue’s events committee put on an evening of classical chamber music last Saturday night (24th November).

65 people enjoyed pieces by Tchaikovsky, Schumann and Haydn performed by Golders Green Synagogue members Benny Chain (piano), Fleur Rada (soprano), Diana Franklin (piano), Alisa Franklin (cello) and Bex Gardiner (violin). The event was the latest sell-out evening put on by the committee and was hosted by Julia and Benny Chain. Mulled wine and home-made cakes finished the evening, which raised nearly £1,000 to help refurbish the shul kitchen.

Golders Green Events Chair, Eveleen Habib, said: “A huge thank you to Julia and Benny Chain for hosting such a wonderful evening in their beautiful home and to our talented performers who would not be out of place on the stage of the Wigmore Hall. We promise those members who were not able to attend due to the event being a sell-out to run another classical music evening next year!”
