A community Interfaith meeting, organised by The Mosque & Islamic Centre of Brent, was held on Sunday 16th December. The event was to advance public knowledge and mutual understanding of the teachings, traditions and practices of the different faith communities in Britain. Each member of the panel spoke about their personal feelings of their faith and community. The Mayor of Brent, Councillor Arshad Mahmood was also in attendance and The Hampstead synagogue was represented by Rabbi Dr. Michael Harris and Anthony Ostrin. A Question and Answer session provoked interesting and lively questions which members of the panel answered. With the formalities over members of the Mosque, The Hampstead Synagogue and the wider Brent community spoke together and all agreed that it was a worthwhile event.
