Pinner Synagogue held an entire day of events to support Mitzvah Day 2018.
In the morning we held a sale of craft and food items made by our Cubs, Guides & Brownies earlier in the week. In addition, donations of clothes & bedding to send to Belarus were collected by The Together Plan & books were collected to send to The Langdon Project.
Separately, our weekly knitting group have been creating squares for blankets that are also going to Belarus, and continued this activity on Sunday morning.
In the afternoon, Pinner Synagogue was delighted to host its intergenerational tea party on Mitzvah day this year. Over 70 attendees enjoyed a wonderful tea together, created Chanukah cards for Jewish families in Belarus (distributed by The Together Plan) and had a delightful, hearty sing along. It was wonderful to see all generations mixing together. This was organised by Pinner Care (our welfare team) and New Generation (our young families committee).
