Rabbi Chaim Michoel Biberfeld was born in Israel to a family of Rabbinical heritage. His father was Rabbi of Munich, Germany, (Post war) and grandfather and great grandfather both well known leaders of the rabbinical Orthodox establishment in Berlin before the war.

Rabbi Biberfeld studied at Ruzin Yeshiva in Bnei Brak, at Yeshiva Haromo in London and for many years under Rabbi's Shach and Povarsky, in Poneviz Yeshiva, Israel.

Rabbi Biberfeld has assisted his father in Munich in the complex rabbinical issues facing the Jewish communities in Germany during the 1980s and 1990s. His special interests include medical halachic issues and Chasidut.
