Nechama Davis nee Lipman was born in Johannesburg, South Africa. She made aliya at age 17 and has a B.A. from Hebrew University in English Literature and Theatre Studies. She qualified as a Drama Teacher and taught English as a Foreign Language in Jerusalem. She also studied Freelance Journalism.
She and her husband, Rabbi Baruch Davis, met and married in Jerusalem, where their oldest 2 sons were born. They moved to Adelaide, South Australia in 1988, where they led the local Orthodox community.
In 1998, with 5 young sons, they moved to Chigwell and Hainault United Synagogoue, where they have been since for 16 years. They now have 6 sons! Plus 2 daughters-in-law and a granddaughter, mainly in Israel.
Nechama has devoted her life to raising their family, with various special needs, and working with her husband in their communities. She is also currently responsible, with Rebbetzen Judy Ginsbury, for training programming for United Synagogue rebbetzens.
